Our Branch President Coral Fineman (who is also a GMB Workplace Organiser at SUEZ) organised a foodbank collection at her workplace, supported by GMB Union members.
Employees at SUEZ in Old Wolverton were asked to bring items to their workplace, for donation to MK Foodbank, with a goal to reach 100 items.
GMB Milton Keynes City Branch agreed to match this number, with the employer SUEZ following suite.
The target was reached very quickly thanks to the kind contributions from GMB members and workers at SUEZ. Hopefully this is the first of many collections and this can be extended to other workplaces in Milton Keynes.
